What you’ll do:
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a high‑performing regional team of HR Operations Advisors (ICs and Supervisors), setting clear goals, coaching for performance, and ensuring timely delivery of services across APJ.
Own HR service delivery for APJ, including employee data management, HRIS administration, Contact HR coordination, onboarding, offboarding, internal mobility, and support for external hiring.
Localize global standards into country‑specific processes and controls; implement and monitor process changes to improve usability, self‑service, and content management across diverse markets.
Drive process reengineering and simplification across APJ; identify automation and tool investments to improve accuracy, speed, and cost efficiency while ensuring regional consistency.
Lead HR Operations support for MADO (Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures, and Outsourcing) activities in APJ, coordinating employee transitions, compliance checks, and integration tasks with global and local teams.
Ensure legal and statutory compliance across APJ jurisdictions, partnering with Legal, Payroll, and local HR to maintain accurate records, statutory filings, and data privacy controls.
Manage vendor relationships and service centers, ensuring tight linkages between country deliverables and shared service centers; oversee SLAs, vendor performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Own operational metrics and financial accountability, including service cost optimization, regional reporting, and impact analysis for process decisions.
Partner with HR and business leaders to consult on HR program impacts, system changes, and opportunities for cost savings and improved employee experience across APJ.
Lead cross‑functional projects and change initiatives that affect employees across multiple APJ countries; perform impact analysis and develop mitigation plans tailored to local contexts.
What you need to bring:
Required Qualifications
Education: First‑level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Typically, 10+ years of relevant experience in HR operations, HRIS, or HR service delivery; experience in operations or IT is a plus.
Leadership: Minimum 5+ years supervisory experience; experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams and vendors across multiple countries. Typical span of control for this level is 6+ direct reports.
Regional Expertise: Demonstrated experience operating across APJ markets with familiarity of multiple local employment laws, statutory requirements, payroll interfaces, and cultural nuances.
Systems Experience: Practical experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday) and HR operations tooling.
Skills and Competencies
Leadership and People Management: Coaching, performance management, talent development, and building regional team capability.
Operational Excellence: Process design, reengineering, project management, and program delivery across large and diverse employee populations.
Analytical and Financial Acumen: Ability to perform impact analysis, manage budgets, and optimize service delivery costs.
Stakeholder Management: Strong relationship skills with senior HR partners, business leaders, global teams, and external vendors.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to senior audiences and translate complex operations into clear actions for varied cultural audiences.
Change Management: Experience leading change initiatives and managing cross‑country impacts.
Technical Savvy: Comfortable with HR systems, reporting tools, and identifying opportunities for automation and integration.
Compliance Orientation: Attention to data security, privacy, and legal requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
