Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Associate to join our Legal team in Chennai. You will play a key role in supporting our corporate legal functions, ranging from contract management to Data Privacy and IP protection. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to deepen their expertise in the technology or SaaS sector.
Responsibilities:
• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Corporate Governance: Assist in managing board meetings, maintaining statutory registers, and ensuring compliance with the Companies Act and other secretarial standards.
• Intellectual Property: Help manage the company’s IP portfolio, including trademark filings, copyright protection, and ensuring IP clauses in contracts are robust.
• Privacy & Data Protection: Assist in implementing data protection frameworks (like GDPR or India’s DPDP Act) and reviewing data processing agreements (DPAs).
• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in legal and regulatory landscapes across India and global markets to ensure the company remains compliant.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Education: LL.B. or LL.M. from a recognized university.
• Experience: 2–4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a corporate legal role, preferably within a law firm or an in-house team in the tech/SaaS industry.
• Foundational Knowledge: Solid understanding of Indian corporate law, contract law, and a strong interest in emerging tech regulations.
• Global Exposure: Experience or familiarity with handling legal matters across multiple jurisdictions (specifically India and US/EU) is a plus.

• Drafting Excellence: Ability to draft clear, concise, and legally sound documents with minimal supervision.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to interpret complex legal statutes and provide actionable summaries for the business teams.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders (Sales, HR, Finance).
• Adaptability: Comfortable managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a highgrowth, dynamic environment.
• Detail-Oriented: A high degree of accuracy in reviewing legal documents and maintaining compliance records
