We are looking for an experienced Liaison Manager with 8–18 years of experience in the real estate industry to manage government liaison activities, statutory approvals, regulatory compliances, and coordination with various government authorities. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of real estate processes and established experience in handling approvals, documentation, follow-ups, and stakeholder coordination.

The role requires someone who can independently manage the end-to-end liaison process for real estate projects, ensure timely approvals, and maintain effective working relationships with relevant government departments and external consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end liaison activities for real estate projects, from initial documentation and application submission through approvals and final clearances.
  • Coordinate with government authorities, statutory bodies, local departments, consultants, architects, legal teams, and internal project teams.
  • Handle documentation, submissions, follow-ups, clarifications, and correspondence required for various project approvals.
  • Track approval timelines and proactively identify potential delays, regulatory issues, or documentation gaps.
  • Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with relevant government officials and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that required drawings, technical documents, legal documents, and project information are prepared and submitted accurately.
  • Monitor changes in applicable real estate regulations and approval requirements and communicate relevant updates to management.
  • Support the acquisition and development of land by coordinating required permissions, NOCs, clearances, and statutory approvals.
  • Maintain detailed records of applications, approvals, permissions, correspondence, and pending regulatory matters.
  • Resolve approval-related challenges through effective coordination and timely escalation.
  • Work closely with project development, legal, finance, architecture, engineering, and construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare regular status reports for management covering approvals obtained, applications under process, pending matters, and anticipated timelines.
  • Ensure all liaison activities are conducted with proper documentation and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Working knowledge of CMDA (Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority) processes and approvals.
  • Exposure to DTCP (Directorate of Town and Country Planning) regulations and approval procedures.
  • Knowledge of TNRERA (Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority) registration, compliance, and documentation requirements.
  • Experience handling planning permissions, building approvals, layout approvals, development permissions, NOCs, and other statutory clearances.
  • Familiarity with Tamil Nadu real estate development regulations and local authority processes.
