Role Purpose
The Marketing Insights Data Analyst role will be to understand, analyse, and interpret marketing data to help business solve problems and make better decisions.
The key competencies for the role are :

• Strong understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts to analyse data
• Advanced data analysis using Excel and Python
• Advanced data visualisation using Power BI. Preferred Microsoft Power BI certified professional

Principal Accountabilities
Key accountabilities are:
Advanced Data Analysis
• Conduct advanced data analysis using Excel and programming languages such as Python (Pandas) to automate processes and derive insight
• Ability to analyse large data set, by going through data extraction, data cleaning, data analysis and data modelling
• Experience in advanced analytic and statistical techniques related multivariate modeling example regression and A/B testing, digital revenue attribution, customer segmentation, and marketing effectiveness
Data Visualisation:
• Create visualisations in Power BI to present complex data in an accessible format.
• Develop dashboards and reports that clearly show marketing performance and key metrics.
• Must have the ability to code in PowerBI using Power query
• Microsoft Power BI certification preferred for the role
Descriptive and Prescriptive analytics :
• Assess trends by analyzing past data, such as sales and revenue in a given time period
• Use data analytics to determine which action a business should take in a particular situation
Reporting:
• Track and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing function
• Experience building and automating management level reporting
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
• Communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders, supporting strategic decisions with clear data-driven arguments.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure that reports and analyses meet those requirements
Essential Competencies
• Relevant 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in data analysis and analytics preferably within a marketing, media agency, analytics and market research firms
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with programming languages such as Python for data analysis and automation.
• Experience with Power BI. Microsoft Power BI certification preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights to stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and reliability.
• Bachelor's or Masters's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, and equivalent work experience
