Job Summary
Responsible for validating product quality by analyzing and testing the quality of the code base. Focuses on writing code that will be executed in an automated and repeatable fashion which will reduce manual testing efforts and increase code quality and consistency. Develops and maintains code that validates front-end, middleware and database systems, using the latest tools and programming languages. Partners with software engineers to write efficient automation code using coding standards and best practices. Works with engineering team to deliver automated tests that satisfy product automation requirements. Executes automated code and creates written summary test reports for team. Repair intermediate complexity broken automation scripts. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

What you will do
This role is an exciting opportunity to join one of our Mobile Development teams. The team creates and maintains applications, encouraging the use of the latest software technologies and testing techniques.
You will be experienced in manual and automation testing for mobile specific applications.
You will collaborate closely with developers, and other team members to ensure our applications are thoroughly tested in line with our release cadence.
You will utilize your creativity to develop innovative testing strategies, scenarios, and approaches to uncover potential issues in software applications.
You will be challenged to think analytically to understand complex systems, identify patterns, and predict potential areas of concern.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the testing manifesto used to guide the principles and practices of testing.
- Promote testing at all steps of the development cycle.
- Responsible for facilitating, creating, and executing testing activities to ensure services meet requirements.
- Assist the teams with planning, writing, executing, and automating test scripts.
- Communicate test results, coverage and making recommendations where necessary.
- Participate in delivering projects to meet business objectives.
- Join in with the team in interpreting business requirements into technical actions to deliver high quality, customer focused testing solutions.
What you will bring
Mid (E2 and all roles)
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of mobile testing and experience in functional and non-functional testing
- Superb communication skills in English with the ability to provide written & verbal updates tailored to your audience
- Experience of creating and maintaining manual
- Being involved with testing and refining of requirements.
- Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication is essential for testers to convey bugs, issues, and suggestions effectively to developers and stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Testers must pay close attention to detail to ensure that every aspect of the software application is thoroughly tested and evaluated.
- Time Management: Effective time management is crucial for testers to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure that testing activities are completed within the project timeline.
- Adaptability: Testers should be adaptable and flexible to adjust to changes in project requirements, timelines, and testing methodologies.
- Customer focused: Understanding the end-users' perspective and empathizing with their needs and challenges helps testers prioritize testing efforts and identify critical areas for improvement.

- Experience in Typescript
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Experience in App automation testing using tools such as XCTest / Espresso / Appium or similar.
- Experience of creating and maintaining automated test scripts
