“The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning.”

Mission statement:

The Operations Analyst – Capacitors and Filters will be responsible for analyzing large datasets across various business operations to identify inefficiencies, trends, and areas for improvement, utilizing data-driven insights to develop and implement solutions that optimize operational performance, often focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) and creating reports and dashboards to monitor progress and communicate findings to stakeholders; requiring strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and a deep understanding of business processes within the energy sector.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Gathering and cleaning data from multiple sources like production systems, CRM, and internal databases to analyze operational metrics and identify patterns.

  • Defining and tracking key performance indicators relevant to business operations, such as order management, production efficiency/absorption, COTD, procurement analysis, and customer satisfaction.

  • Create detailed reports and dashboards using data visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI to present key findings and insights to management.

  • Identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement within operational processes, proposing and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency.

  • Evaluating the impact of proposed changes on operational performance and financial outcomes.

  • Working closely with cross-functional teams across sales, engineering, and manufacturing departments to gather data and implement operational changes.

  • Utilizing data analysis to predict future trends and proactively identify potential issues.

Your background:

  • 3-4 years of experience in Data Analytics, manufacturing, sales, operations, or similar roles, including all aspects of data analytics (mining, generation, and visualization).

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations/manufacturing, process engineering, business administration, statistics, engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL, and other relevant software.

  • Ability to independently extract & model data from various data sources (SAP, SQL, etc.) with expertise in handling live connections of data from different systems.Experience with business intelligence platforms and data visualization techniques.Understanding of the energy industry and its operational processes.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and interact and collaborate with team members from North America.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous process improvement.
