Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, planning lead with 10+ years in production planning for our manufacturing facility. Expertise in Make to order/Engineer to order production planning process and SAP systems. We are looking for strong collaboration across the organization

Manage production & planning team, align demand and supplies to ensure the business targets and safety standards are met.

You will report to PRODUCTION AND INVENTORY CONTROL MANAGER.

You will work in Onsite work mode based in our Chennai plant in Kancheepuram, India.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Derive rolling 8 weeks production plans based on orders and execute based on dispatch plan and sales forecast
  • Coordinate kitting, part sequencing, line feeding for all assembly lines in the manufacturing plant
  • Monitor material availability to prevent assembly line production stoppages
  • Control work in progress WIP levels on the assembly floor and conduct regular physical stock reconciliations against SAP inventory data
  • Working collaboratively with Customer service, Procurement, Production and Manufacturing teams to achieve the on time delivery
  • Customer focused approach with strong sense of on time delivery.
  • Analyse operations workload, capacity, identify bottlenecks and mitigate risks which impact On-Time Delivery.
  • Monitor production plan vs actual, identify the gaps, derive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Track and control inventory.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy and delivery performance.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge of production planning and material planning.
  • Experience in S&OP Process.
  • Expertise in execution of Production orders.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP PP & MM module.
  • Knowledge in MS excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and data analysis skills are mandatory.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Proficiency in planning systems, ERP/MRP tools, and Excel‑based analytics.
  • Highly comfort with operating in and fast‑paced environments.
