What you’ll do

In this role in Identity Governance & Administration, you’ll make sure that decisions are grounded on robust data, return on investment and clear value measures, supporting thoughtful and intelligent cost management. You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and supporting identity governance using SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC), so user access across enterprise systems is appropriately provisioned, governed, reviewed and de‑provisioned in line with security, compliance and business requirements. You’ll also actively identify opportunities and drive initiatives that simplify our operating environment and reduce cost across the bank.

At a domain level, you’ll work to make sure robust security conditions are continuously considered and embedded at every stage, throughout the development lifecycle, from early design and programme increments through to feature delivery and ongoing support.

You’ll be:

  • Using your subject matter expertise to support the wider organisation in building and operating secure services that protect both our colleagues and customers
  • Establishing a culture of innovation and strategic thinking, assessing emerging developments in your area of specialism and clearly communicating their impact across the organisation
  • Collaborating closely with security, IAM architects and application owners
  • Integrating applications and directories, including Active Directory, Entra ID and Workday, into the identity-governance platform
  • Designing and implementing joiner, mover and leaver processes and access models through robust workflows, rules and transforms
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues across the bank and with third parties to make sure decisions are commercially focused and deliver long-term value for our organisation
  • Working with Feature teams and actively participating in refinement sessions, sprint planning and retrospectives
The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone to actively support a domain and our wider organisation as a subject matter expert in a security-related field, with strong IAM and IGA knowledge across areas such as role‑based access control, lifecycle management and segregation of duties.

You’ll have experience of, or an appetite for learning, risk management frameworks, including setting risk appetite and defining effective risk‑policy controls. communicate clearly and concisely, translating complex technical issues into meaningful business terms to support informed decision‑making. Experience across one or more security subject areas would be an advantage.

You’ll also bring:

  • Hands-on experience with SailPoint ISC
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications into identity‑governance platforms
  • Strong scripting and configuration skills, including JSON and Java-based rules
  • A solid understanding of cloud identity concepts, APIs and directory services
  • Strong troubleshooting capability, paired with clear and effective communication
  • An understanding of how to benchmark practices against peers and industry standards
  • A good working knowledge of Agile methodologies and ways of working
