Position Summary: We are looking for a Product Management Manager to join our Collector Services Zone within the Product Management organization in Chennai. In this role, the Product Owner will scope and execute opportunities that enable Collector Services to support the growth objectives of athenahealth.
 

About the Team: The Collector Services Zone Product Management team builds innovative revenue cycle services for athenahealth customers. We solve complex business problems for a wide range of stakeholders, including customers, internal technology-enabled services teams, and multiple BPO vendors.

Our work requires the ability to conceptualize and implement workflows that manage large volumes of claim resolution activities. These workflows may be completed manually by our BPO partners or automated to improve overall system productivity.
Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and contribute to the definition of the assigned product area

  • Drive backlog allocation and prioritization of customer problems within the area of responsibility

  • Define epics and user stories while clearly articulating business requirements, including UX, CX, and support requirements

  • Identify and track metrics and success criteria to create visibility into program performance and improvement opportunities

  • Partner with Product Management leaders to represent product decisions within the organization

  • Represent customer needs for the assigned product area and support the end-to-end customer journey

  • Serve as Product Owner for scrum teams supporting the assigned product area

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and manage stakeholder communication effectively

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Product Management leaders to support portfolio and product strategy

  • Support feature rollouts through alpha, beta, and general availability stages

  • Collaborate with customer-facing teams to analyze feature impact and prepare communications

  • Work with Sales, Account Management, Product Marketing, and internal partner teams to communicate product capabilities effectively

  • Assist Product Management leadership with service descriptions and product-related communications

  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Product Management team by sharing knowledge and best practices

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across workflows and processes

  • Participate in cross-functional planning and coordination activities

Expected Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Product Management

  • 8 to 12 years of product management experience

  • Prior experience in healthcare is a plus

  • Experience working with stakeholders across cross-functional teams in a business environment

  • Understanding of product management best practices, including Agile development methodologies

  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
