Job Description: Product Manager (Safety Domain)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Manager to take charge of all aspects of safety for the YouTrip app. Keeping our users safe and worry-free while they travel is a top priority for us and we are constantly investing more in combatting the ever-evolving scam and fraud landscape. Your work will be instrumental in helping YouTrip to grow and scale in a way that keeps our users safe, while providing the best experience to our customers. You will need to collaborate cross-functionally as well as with other Product Teams, and find the right balance between safety and a frictionless user experience.
You will:
- Be the product owner of a high impact team focusing on all aspects of safety as we grow the depth and sophistication of our safety features. This includes both user-facing features and internal tooling.
- Minimize the cases/financial loss due to fraud/scam while ensuring users continue to have a smooth experience with minimal friction and frustration.
- Collaborate tightly with our fraud monitoring team, customer service, and other teams to find the right solutions (these may need creative thinking).
- Implement fraud tooling and solution to increase effectiveness of our translation monitoring operation
- Help us stay ahead of fraudsters and scammers, and respond quickly to new typologies of scam/fraud as they emerge.
- Understand business needs & stakeholders directions, managing resources & lead overall product direction for your team
- Plan, prioritize, and define the roadmap to create a great safety experience and necessary security platform development
- Be the domain expert on all aspects of product safety
- Provide nuanced assessments on tough questions on best solutions, trade-offs between options (build vs. buy, technology solutions), and work cross-team to ensure we have alignment and buy-in as we rapidly deliver.
You have:
- 4-7 years of work experience in product management, ideally with exposure to FinTech and Safety/Security issues
- Proven track record of cross-functionally collaboration and execution on complex issues and making sound decisions rapidly
- Strong knowledge of product processes and operation process enhancements, as well as experience working with both mobile and web applications, with good UI/UX intuition/acumen
- A passion for combating fraud and scam activity
