Job Description:

The Innovations team is a global team responsible for the innovation, governance, automation, delivery, and support of software development teams that create cloud hosted solutions for Genesys Customers. The teams’ offerings include custom Contact Center Applications, Genesys product extensions, third-party systems integration, as well as consulting services around software development for customers and partners working with Genesys products and services. We work in a highly agile development model.

We seek an experienced cloud support engineer who can assist in supporting and managing our cloud environment that hosts our full-stack solutions specifically targeted for the AWS cloud platforms using native and containerized deployment methodologies. An aspect of the role will be to support and maintain our Devops pipeline for hosting our many solutions that operate in tandem with our Cloud product solutions and APIs.

Software languages and technologies of interest include Terraform, Cloudformation, NodeJS, ReactJS, container technology, and SQL Server.

The successful candidate must demonstrate skills as a Software Developer to support solutions for AWS (preferred) and Azure as a plus with a passion to explore new concepts and technologies. They must integrate well in a team culture, contribute to solutions development and communicate effectively with customers, team leadership and technical team members.

What You’ll Do

This is a hybrid role of a developer who can also help manage the AWS environment to support the development teams that create solutions in this environment. This team provides dev ops services to the teams of developers building both internal and external solutions. We manage the CI/CD pipeline, build internal tools, perform code/architecture reviews, keep security in mind, and look for ways to always improve our automation and availability using the latest and greatest technology.

In this role, the primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Primarily manage AWS Tickets and support developers in troubleshooting issues with their cloud solutions

  • Contribute on a team to architect and manage our cloud infrastructure for cloud hosted contact center solutions primarily in AWS

  • Keep current and consult on core cloud operational configuration such as permissions settings, resource management, usage scripting, service selection, monitoring and alerting methods.

  • Contribute to Dev/Ops practices, including software development templates, development pipeline operations, deployment automation and Cloud operations methods and scripts.

  • Recommending security practices and limiting vulnerabilities

  • General applications development using NodeJS and React for Lambda and container deployment.

Job Requirements:

  • BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Science/Computer Engineering.

  • Full stack engineer with 3+ years or more of commercial software development experience in NodeJS and React or similar languages.

  • 1+ years developing/deploying SaaS applications in Amazon Web Services. Microsoft Azure, or other public cloud environments. Knowledge of building container solutions such as Docker or Kubernetes.

  • Experience with deploying cloud solutions, administrative procedures and configuration for Windows and Linux operating environments

  • Knowledge and skill in developing web user interfaces in ReactJS but other advanced web tools and techniques such as AngularJS are a plus

  • Practical experience deploying or developing with Genesys APIs and Genesys Cloud integrating to various customer environments/back end systems using Genesys SDKs (PSDK, WFM API, IceLib, ICWS, GWS) is a big plus.

  • Experience with design and development of tools for managing the infrastructure and experience with programmed clean & re-usable code.

  • Demonstrate solid analytical programming and problem-solving skills including software operation diagnostics

  • Agile Mindset

  • Good working experience with database administration/optimization

  • Experience with Continuous Integration and deployment with automated testing

  • Strong Team Player with Ability to work independently on routine duties or projects with general instructions on new assignments. Enjoys context switching as quickly as the situation demands.
