SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to facilitate our agile development process and help our cross-functional teams deliver high-quality products efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Scrum methodology and act as a servant leader to remove impediments, facilitate meetings, and coach team members in agile practices.
WHAT YOU WILL DO AND YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Support and coach team members in Scrum practices and principles
- Identify, track, and help the team remove impediments that impact productivity
- Shield the team from external distractions and interruptions
- Help establish estimation and forecasting practices that maintain predictable delivery
- Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure the backlog is refined and prioritized
- Facilitate conflict resolution and promote a healthy team dynamic
- Track and report on team metrics and continuously improve processes
- Coach stakeholders in effectively interacting with Scrum teams
- Promote engineering best practices within the development team
- Encourage self-organization and cross-functionality within the team
- Support organizational agile transformation efforts
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years of relevant experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum framework, values, practices, and applications; familiarity with other Agile methodologies (Kanban, SAFe, etc.) is a plus
- Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps, and Agile engineering practices.
- Strong communication, servant leadership, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience working with distributed/remote teams
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification (SAFe Scrum Master preferred).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional - Scrum Master (CSP-SM), PSM II/III, SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or other Agile leadership certifications.
- Background in software development, quality assurance (QA), business analysis, or other technical roles.
- Experience in organizational change management and Agile transformation initiatives.
WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A STEP UP:
- Experience in Agile transformations and scaling (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus).
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills.
- Expertise in Agile maturity assessments and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) and Agile budgeting.
- Background in DevOps, CI/CD, or cloud technologies.
