As a Technical Application Owner, you play a key role at the interface between customers, product management, sales, and global product development. You are responsible for translating customer needs and application use cases into clear technical requirements and for ensuring that Daimler Truck products deliver outstanding value across defined markets and applications.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
· Define, describe, and continuously refine specific application profiles and use cases for Daimler Truck products across defined markets and industries
· Collaborate closely with Product Management, Sales, and Customers to identify, analyze, and structure customer requirements and derived purchasing criteria
· Translate customer and market requirements into clear, consistent, and actionable technical targets for product and system development
· Lead and develop a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, strategic direction, and people leadership
· Act as a key interface to the globally distributed product development organization, ensuring alignment across regions and functions
· Contribute to the continuous evolution and sharpening of the Technical Application Owner role within Daimler Truck
· Design, establish, and implement standardized processes supporting the global rollout of the Technical Application Owner role
· Integrate these processes into the One Modular System (OMS) and ensure alignment with global development and governance frameworks
Qualifications- University degree in Engineering or Industrial Engineering
· Profound and holistic technical understanding of the complete vehicle system
· Several years of professional experience in full vehicle or system-level product development
· Proven experience in eliciting, structuring, and documenting customer requirements and application use cases
· Several years of leadership experience, including direct responsibility for engineering teams
· Demonstrated international experience and ability to work effectively in a global environment
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English and at least one additional language
· Open-minded, curious personality with a strong interest in working across cultures and building international networks
