Lead variant development projects for commercial vehicles from PreQG09 to SOP, managing timelines, DMU adherence, virtual BOMs, and cross-functional delivery. Perform vehicle-level first-principle calculations, ensure regulatory compliance for domestic/export markets, and maintain high-quality deliverables aligned with CVDS standards.
We are seeking a Senior Manager to oversee and manage variant-related projects for commercial vehicles in EVT (Vehicle Integration) department. This role is vital in driving the company's vision and ensuring the successful development and launch of new variants. The successful candidate will work in the TE/PIV-G Section and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Responsibilities- Lead projects from PreQG09 to S.O.P for CV, with a focus on HDT/MDT and buses.
- Prepare and manage timelines for variant-related tasks, ensuring alignment with R&D and the CFT.
- Maintain high-quality deliverables and adhere to timelines as per CVDS standards.
- Report on project progress and deliverables at each Quality Gate, providing transparent updates.
- Ensure 100% DMU adherence for variants, maintaining consistency and accuracy.
- Possess knowledge of aggregate selections, packaging, and vehicle architecture, and apply this expertise to project management.
- Conduct first-principle calculations for vehicle-level performance, including TCD, steering effort, and gradeability.
- Stay updated with regulations for domestic and export markets, ensuring compliance.
- Prepare and sign-off on virtual BOMs, a critical step in the variant management process.
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required, with a preference for a master's degree.
- 5-10 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on vehicle integration in Commercial vehicles
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent knowledge of commercial vehicle architecture and design principles.
- Proficiency in first-principle calculations and an understanding of vehicle performance metrics.
- Familiarity with domestic and international regulations pertaining to commercial vehicles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- A proactive and results-driven approach to work, with a track record of successful project delivery.
