Job Description:
Pre‑Sales & Solution Design
- Work closely with Sales, Partners, and Customers to understand business and technical requirements
- Design end‑to‑end Cisco solutions including:
- Enterprise Networking (Switching, Routing, Wireless)
- Security (Firewalls, Cisco ISE, Duo, Umbrella, Secure Access)
- SD‑WAN, Cloud, and Data Center solutions
- Create High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), and BoQ / BoM
Cisco Technology Expertise
- Strong understanding of Cisco Networking and Cybersecurity products
- Experience with VLAN design, segmentation, inter‑VLAN routing, redundancy, and high availability
- Cisco Meraki solutions (MX, MS, MR) – deployment and dashboard management
- VPNs (Remote Access and Site‑to‑Site), SD‑WAN, network expansion and scaling
- Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), ISE, Umbrella, Duo, Secure Service Connect (SSC)
- Network monitoring using SNMP, ManageEngine, and similar tools
Customer Engagement & Proposals
- Prepare and respond to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs
- Create techno‑commercial proposals, compliance matrices, and scope documents
- Conduct solution presentations, demos, PoCs, and technical walkthroughs
- Support deal qualification, BOQ presentation, and deal ID creation
- Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers and partners
Collaboration & Delivery Readiness
- Coordinate with Professional Services and delivery teams for deployment readiness
- Work with Cisco Account Teams, TAC, and OEM support for solution validation
- Maintain solution documentation and technical artifacts
- Mentor junior pre‑sales engineers as required
Mandatory Skills
- Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, ICMP
- Solid understanding of network security: Firewalls, VPNs, content filtering
- Experience in virtualization, enterprise management systems, network monitoring
- Basic knowledge of Infra services: AD, DNS, DHCP, NTP (preferred)
Qualifications & Experience
- BE / B.Tech in a relevant discipline
- 4–6 years of experience as a Pre‑Sales / Solution Engineer
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA / CCNP preferred
- Strong presentation, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
- Customer‑focused mindset with ability to work independently
