Staff Cloud Operations Engineer

Staff Azure Cloud Engineer designs, implements, and manages cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure services. Key responsibilities include provisioning virtual machines, configuring networking, automating deployments with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring system performance, ensuring security/compliance, and optimizing costs. They collaborate with teams to support cloud migrations, application deployment, and disaster recovery. 

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Infrastructure Management: Provisioning, configuring, and monitoring Azure resources (compute, storage, network).
• Automation: Developing CI/CD pipelines and using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates) to streamline deployment.
• Security & Governance: Implementing security policies, managing access control (RBAC), and using Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
• Optimization: Monitoring costs, performance, and reliability to optimize resource utilization.
• Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving cloud-related issues. 
• Generative AI Integration: Build and deploy GenAI applications using Azure OpenAI Service, Cognitive Services, and Azure AI Foundry.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Azure Services: Deep knowledge of Compute (VMs, AKS), Storage, Networking, and Database services.
• Scripting & IaC: Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates, or Terraform.
• Operating Systems: Strong understanding of Windows and Linux administration.
• Security & Networking: Understanding of firewalls, VNets, VPNs, and Azure AD.
• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) are highly preferred
