Job Description

Global Service center (GSC) is hiring a System Analyst who will be part of SAFe systems team that assists in building and supporting the Agile development environment.

A systems analyst works as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate validate requirements specifications for changes to information systems. The systems analyst understands problems opportunities in the context of the requirements the systems implement solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and evaluating existing systems to identify the areas for improvement
  • Identifying and defining system requirements through meetings and consultations with stakeholders
  • Coordinating and implementing system changes and upgrades
  • Testing and maintaining systems to ensure that they are working properly and efficiently
  • Developing and maintaining documentation for systems
  • Providing technical guidance and training to users
  • Perform analysis on business/system requirements and technical specifications
  • Produce a test plan, run, and validate all relevant outputs to verify program logic
  • Review and evaluate incoming work requests.
  • Meet aggressive goals for project deliverables and completion by using best practices for project management
  • Participate in team demos, reviews and retrospectives with an eye toward continuous improvement.
  • Support to groom Team Backlog and provide functional and technical clarification for story development.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in System Analyst.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Deep understanding of applications, database structures, data files, and data relationships
  • Strong working knowledge of Expeditor’s business and operational processes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to design creative and innovative solutions to meet the customer’s needs
  • Ability to take complex concepts and break them down for a non-technical audience
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Office 365 tools
  • Staying informed about new technology and industry development.
  • Experience and proficiency with software development lifecycle and software development methodologies including SAFe, Lean, Scrum and Agile.
  • Deep Technical knowledge on IT Infrastructure and it’s components (On-premises, DMZ and Cloud)
  • Deep understanding of DevSecOps practices.
  • Understanding of various Migration strategies of Server, OS, Databases and Applications.
  • Advanced knowledge on Vulnerability Management, Prioritization and Risk mitigation strategy.
  • Alignment with Expeditors’ culture and a total commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Driven, strong, 'get it done' attitude. Lives the belief that done is better than perfect.
  • Broad cross-product and geography knowledge of Expeditors’ network
  • Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a wide spectrum of people including senior leaders, customers and people across geographies.
  • Effective at navigating ambiguity and helping diverse teams drive towards clarity and consensus.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication.
  • Highly literate in current industry issues, topics and market drivers that affect our software.
  • A strong interest and desire for knowledge about the commercial and operational aspects of Expeditors’ network and the broader transportation industry.
