Job Description

Technical Program Manager, Developer Experience

Are you looking to have an impact on a large technology organization and the work of thousands of developers? If you are driven and passionate about reducing cognitive load and toil for developers, then Developer Experience (DevX) Organization is the place for you!

Comcast’s DevX organization creates an extensible ecosystem of solutions, evolving based on deep partnerships, that empower Comcast’s Engineering community to do more of what they love and feel deeply connected to their impactful work.

DevX believes we can make developers happier, more focused, and more innovative. We do this by providing tools and automated processes that reduce the impact non-functional requirements have on our developer’s lives.

As a Technical Program Manager on our Comcast Dojo team, you will have the opportunity to drive transformative change by supporting the Dojo Technical coach in delivering impactful experiences for engineers and fostering collaboration across teams. You will play a key role in scaling the Comcast Dojo’s impact, supporting continuous learning and delivering strategic programs that enhance developer experience, engineering excellence and operational efficiency.

On our teams, everyone has an opportunity to lead; your communication and collaboration skills are just as important—if not more important—than your technical skills.

About the team

The Comcast Dojo is a hands-on enablement program designed to accelerate software delivery excellence across the organization. It provides engineering teams with immersive learning experiences, equipping them with best practices in automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), cloud-native development, infrastructure as code, and security-by-design. The Dojo operates as an incubator for modern engineering practices, fostering collaboration between engineers, product teams, and technical leaders.

The Comcast Dojo team values collaboration, a love of learning, empathy, humility and active listening.

How we support you in building your craft

In addition to building belonging in your day-to-day job:

  • You will have an opportunity to participate in a week–long Lab Week three times a year – a Hackathon where we test innovative ways to push our platforms and products into the future.
  • You will have dedicated time to learn and teach each other through multiple internal technology conferences throughout the year.
  • You will participate in dedicated technology, leadership and culture discussion forums, book clubs and internal podcasts.
  • You and your teammates will take the time to have fun and build team camaraderie and psychological safety.
  • You will have flexibility for career exploration through mentorship, project opportunities, rotations, and gigs.

What you will do

As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) for The Comcast Dojo, you will drive strategic initiatives that enhance engineering enablement, program adoption, and technical excellence. You will work closely with engineering leaders, platform architects, and development teams to design and scale programs that embed DevOps, site reliability engineering (SRE), and inner-source practices across the company. This role sits at the intersection of program execution and deep technical enablement, ensuring that engineering teams have the necessary skills, tools, and support to thrive in a modern development environment.

What You’ll Be Exposed To:

  • Cutting-edge engineering practices: Direct engagement with software engineers, and platform teams to implement cloud-native architectures and automation strategies.
  • Technical mentorship & collaboration: Work alongside engineering leadership and senior architects to refine engineering best practices and optimize developer workflows.
  • Hands-on DevOps enablement: Participate in technical deep dives, facilitate immersive Dojo sessions, and partner with engineers to drive real-world improvements in software delivery.
  • Enterprise-wide impact: Shape the evolution of the company’s DevOps strategy by designing programs that scale across multiple teams and technology stacks.

What you will bring

If you have some or all the following, please apply:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to driving clarity and progress
  • Proven success in growing or managing technology communities to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver programs that support engineering communities
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, take ownership of complex programs and deliver results
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives by gathering feedback from participants and iterating on DevOps Dojo offerings.
  • Ability to measure and analyze participant feedback and Dojo experience quality scores, using data-driven insights to continuously improve content, delivery, and overall experience.

Exciting challenges you will be involved in where you can make an impact

  • Guiding teams in exploring and evaluating new tools and technologies to incorporate into their DevOps toolchain, considering factors such as ease of integration, scalability, and community support.
  • Participating in DevOps communities, forums, and conferences to stay updated on industry trends, share experiences, and network with peers.

We are interested in attracting a diverse set of candidates for this position.  If you are not sure if you qualify, please err on the side of applying.

Our Values

  • Pathway to Yes
    • We value usable and working solutions now, without compromising quality over a perfect solution later.
    • We start from the assumption that someone, somewhere has already figured out a solution to this problem; we value using their results over rediscovering them ourselves.
    • We actively collaborate with our customers; we win when our customers win.
  • Culture of Curiosity
    • We adopt a collaborative growth mindset and learn together along the way.
    • We recognize that the best idea can come from anyone, and that effective leaders create ways to solicit and consider these ideas.
    • We value making decisions with research and reason, with an open mind to experiment.
  • Lead with Purpose
    • While exploring diverse ideas, we value being able to pursue a plan together over everyone agreeing that the plan is the best one
    • We are all leaders; we value individual responsibility over micromanagement.
    • As members of DevX, we align to a set of outcomes over fighting turf wars; we get ahead by working together.
  • Team Spirit
    • We value attitude over aptitude; no {genius} jerks allowed.
    • We value actively and humbly seeking and appreciating honest feedback over preserving our egos.
    • We value building teams with individuals from various backgrounds and experiences; there is no typical DevX-er.
