VP, Wholesale Client Onboarding Subject Matter Expert

Purpose of the role

To manage the implementation of strategic change initiatives to enhance the banks operational efficiency. 

Accountabilities

• Management of strategic operational changes and initiatives to enhance the bank's operational efficiency and effectiveness, including the identification and assessment of changes on people, processes, and systems.
• Collaboration with internal stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers and SMEs to support business operation team and promote alignment between operations with the bank’s objectives.
• Development and implementation of change management strategies and effectively communicate the strategies so they are understood and adopted by stakeholders.
• Management and development of KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business functions, utilising data and technology to support the identification of areas that require improvement.
• Comply with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to change management.
• Provision of guidance and support to stakeholders throughout the operational change management process through training and coaching.

Join Barclays as VP, Wholesale Client Onboarding Subject Matter Expert, where you'll play a pivotal role in delivering KYC Process Change & Regulatory objectives whilst providing a first-class service to stakeholders and customers. At Barclays, we don't just anticipate the future - we're creating it. You will have the opportunity to work in partnership with teams across TC1 and Barclays Group. Your role will be responsible for acting as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) representing WCOB (Wholesale Client Onboarding) on forums/projects. You will also be responsible for ensuring project deadlines are adhered to and support KYC teams where required with audit/compliance review.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Previous experience of AML/KYC gained within investment or corporate banking sector.

• Experience of reviewing complex structures, PEPs and/or Sanctions screening.

• Experience of using approved KYC vendor sources e.g. Dun and Bradstreet, Companies House, and others.

• Legal knowledge in terms of corporate law and structure.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Ideally qualified to Degree standard, preferably in a business/law related subject.

• AML / Compliance Certification.

• Cash Management – Cert ICM.

• Knowledge of high-risk indicators and revision of complex structures and entity types.
