Technical proficiency:
- Extensive experience with big data tools and data warehousing solutions.
- Ability to review raw data in different formats and coding schemes and propose data
models, including, the design of tables, data types, foreign key relationships, star schemas,
fact tables, reference/dimension tables, etc. - Designing and creating the Data pipelines for ingestion of streamed and batch data into
Azure services like Azure EventHub, Kafka, IoT Hub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake etc. - Spark solution & other Big Data technologies to process large volumes of data. Synapse
analytics, databricks, HDinsights, data factory, stream analytics etc. - Must have experience with different type of databases like relational (e.g., PostgreSQL,
MySQL), NoSQL (e.g., Cassandra, GraphDB, MongoDB, CosmoDB) database systems - Programming: Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, DHIS, R Shiny, Python or
PySpark, R, SQL to develop data wrangling in cleaning data and build pipelines. Transform and extract meaning from the data. - Data Visualization: Design and develop dashboards BI visualization and dashboards with the use of visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau.
- Database query languages: Mastery in SQL and experience with NoSQL databases.
- Experience in a LMS like OpenEdx or Moodle based platforms are optional.
