The Database Support Engineer is primarily responsible for managing the Support cases. This role also includes mentoring new employees or trainees. The position is based mainly in the office, with the option for home-office work.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with Exasol database (focus on SQL), drivers, connectivity from and to Exasol.
- Answer questions about the usage of Exasol database features.
- Collaborate closely with R&D and Project Management teams.
- Execute service activities to ensure timely and high-quality project deliverables.
- Maintain and update all forms of technical documentation.
- University degree in IT or equivalent, or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working in multicultural environments.
- Proven ability to liaise with stakeholders across various hierarchical levels.
- Technical expertise in: Database and SQL, including SQL scripting.
- Data Warehouse (DWH) and Business Intelligence (BI) architecture.
- Database front-end, reporting tools, ETL tools, and drivers.
- Programming languages such as Python, Lua, Java, or R.
- Effective database support.
- SLA ticket processing, incident management, and troubleshooting.
