IT Site Operations Manager
Come join FLSmidth Cement IT and contribute to establish the foundation for our Cement business operation in "Pure Play" mode. Aligned with the GREEN'26 Cement strategy, FLSmidth is set to have a dedicated Cement business entity, equipped to inject green-tech initiatives into the dynamic global cement market. This Cement business will feature its own dedicated Cement IT function, which is currently in the process of being developed.
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Site Operations Manager to oversee IT operations across multiple office and manufacturing sites. This role is critical to ensuring seamless IT services and support at all company locations, driving the execution of IT strategies, and managing a team of onsite IT professionals. The IT Onsite Manager will play a key role in maintaining infrastructure, ensuring alignment with central IT policies, and leading IT projects across various locations. This position will be essential in supporting business continuity and driving efficiency during the pure-play separation of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage IT operations across sites, ensuring systems, networks, and infrastructure function effectively and consistently.
- Lead and coordinate the activities of IT support teams at different locations, ensuring the timely resolution of technical issues and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Act as the liaison between onsite teams and central IT management, ensuring that company-wide IT policies, procedures, and projects are implemented effectively across all sites.
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure at all sites, including network equipment, servers, and security devices, ensuring consistent performance and uptime in coordination with Central IT infrastructure team.
- Support the execution of IT projects across multiple sites, including system upgrades, network enhancements, and software rollouts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and timelines.
- Work with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure reliable IT service delivery and infrastructure support at all locations.
- Serve as the escalation point for critical IT issues across sites, ensuring rapid response and coordinated problem-solving with internal and external teams.
- Ensure all sites adhere to company IT security policies and comply with industry standards and regulations, including data protection and cybersecurity.
- Play a pivotal role in ensuring IT stability across sites during periods of business transformation or separation, minimizing disruption to daily operations.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant experience around the IT Onsite Service management
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or multi-site management role.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and security, particularly in multi-location environments.
- Proven experience supporting IT projects across various locations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate onsite IT teams across different geographies.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across different levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL.
- Ability to travel to different company sites as needed.
