Principal - Cloud Computing Engineer, Chennai
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of multi-cloud solutions across Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role will serve as a technical authority, driving cloud strategy, architecture, and automation initiatives to ensure scalability, security, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise-grade cloud architectures across Azure, GCP, and AWS.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Implement automation frameworks using Git and Python for CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure provisioning.
- Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Define and enforce best practices for multi-cloud deployments, cost optimization, and governance.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to maintain regulatory standards.
- Monitor and optimize cloud environments for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and cloud platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Influence cloud adoption strategies and roadmap planning at an enterprise level.
- 8+ years in cloud engineering or architecture roles.
- Deep expertise in Azure, GCP, and AWS services and architectures.
- Proficiency in Python and version control systems such as Git.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Certifications in Azure, AWS, and GCP (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with FinOps and cost optimization strategies.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
