Define, optimize, and govern project management processes, methods, and tools for Product Engineering. Map processes, analyze performance, implement improvements, train stakeholders, audit adherence, report to senior management, and provide technical project management expertise for engineering projects in the commercial vehicle/automotive OEM domain.
We are seeking a talented professional to define and enhance project management processes within our Product Engineering department. In this role, you will play a crucial part in identifying, optimizing, and streamlining processes, methods, and tools to improve overall operational performance. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring strict governance and driving efficiency across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assess business operations and identify processes for efficient project steering, creating process maps, methods, and templates.
- Analyze process performance data, pinpoint inefficiencies, and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align and implement process changes, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Train and support colleagues on new/optimized processes, fostering a culture of adherence and best practices.
- Conduct audits and participate in internal forums to ensure established processes are followed in business execution.
- Report process adherence rates to senior management and seek guidance for effective process implementation.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in project management, especially in the commercial vehicle and automotive sectors.
- Provide technical project management expertise in engineering functions, offering innovative solutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and encourage a proactive approach to process optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Project Management or a related field.
- Certification in a recognized Project Management program, such as PMP or Prince2.
- 10 to 15 years of experience, including a minimum of 5+ years in a Project Manager role, handling projects from concept to production.
- Strong background in project management, with a focus on commercial vehicles or automotive OEM.
- Excellent technical project management skills in engineering functions.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to process improvement.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide and support colleagues.
- Proficiency in relevant project management software and tools.
